LAKE COLUMBIA NEIGHBORLINK

is an email service which provides its members an easy and efficient method of communicating with each other. 

Lake Columbia Neighborlink is only open to Lake Columbia Community Residents.

If you are a resident of the Lake Columbia community and would like to join Neighborlink, send an email to LCNeighborlink@comcast.net requesting membership.  Be sure to include your Lake Columbia address, your email address and your full name.  

 

Any member can post a message to the entire Neighborlink group.  Just send your message to the Neighborlink email address.  When received, the messages are then sent out to all of the membership.

 

For privacy purposes, the Neighborlink member email addresses will not be displayed on any of the messages sent.  Only the name and email address of the originator of the message will be visible.

 
Here are some examples of Neighborlink messages:
  • notify neighbors about news or activities in the community
  • offer something  that you want to sell or inquire about an item you want to buy
  • send messages regarding existing clubs or to start a new one such as cards, sailing, kayaking, or golf leagues
  • notify your neighbors about lost and found items
  • warn about thefts or vandalism in the area
  • seek a service such as lawn care or boat removal or ask for a reference such as a new dentist or the best place to buy a kayak
 
Neighborlink does not post political or controversial issues.
 
Neighborlink does not send out advertising for businesses or services.  However, it does publish a Member Business Directory (also found on this web site).  If you would like to include your business, service, or product on the Neighborlink Business Directory,  please email Neighborlink and ask to be sent the necessary template and guidelines.
  
IF YOU WISH TO SEND AN EMAIL MESSAGE to the Neighborlink members, please do the following:
 
  1. Email the message to lcneighborlink@comcast.net
  2. Sign each message with your name (first and last) and your email address. Unsigned messages will not be accepted. 
  3. If you have a flyer for an event or a picture of an item for sale, you may include the image as an attachment. However, please also describe the event or item in the body of the note as not all members receive embedded images or open attachments.
  4. Requests to list items for sale or wanted will be put on the website when received but the actual emails for these items will be combined into a single email and only sent once or twice a week.

 

Emails to the Neighborlink address will only be forwarded on to the whole group if that is clearly intended.

  
IF YOU WISH TO REPLY to the sender of a message you have received, reply directly to the sender - not to Neighborlink. Click on the email address of the person who originated the message to automatically address a NEW email to them. Or you can click on REPLY and replace the Link's address with theirs.
